Ensure that God’s hand is on each step toward achieving your goal. Take His hand away, and you’re on your own.

You Can’t Do It Alone      Exodus 18:18-27

God will send people to help and advise you along the way. Ask for their help and accept it when it is offered.

Hand and Foot      1 Cor 12:12-26

You are a member of the body. At some point, God will stop your dream until you allow His hands (His people) to help complete the dream.

Faith Builder, Part 6: Looking for “Underdogs”

Hot Dogs            Rom 12:3

God ain’t looking for hot dogs! He’s looking for humility, not a haughty attitude. We don’t know how to fix things – we need to go humbly to Him for help.

Superdogs            Matt 7:21-23

“We don’t need help! We can do it all.” But are we spending time with Him? God is looking for those who come to Him for help and rely on His provisions.

Underdogs            1 Cor 1:26-29

God doesn’t want you to be it all or do it all. He’s looking for those who are humble, meek, weak; those who don’t boast so He will get the glory and for those who appreciate what He does for them.



Plan for Underdogs            Josh 1:6-8

God WILL give you your dream – be strong and courageous! Don’t be distracted. YOU CAN DO IT!
Speak It  “Do not let this Book of the Law depart from your mouth;…”
Think It  “… meditate on it day and night,…”
Do It  “… so that you may be careful to do everything written in it.”



Joshua didn’t win when the walls of Jericho fell; he had already won on the first day when he met with God!

When called by God to do something, don’t ask for or wait for a sign before you do it. You are a mighty warrior! God will call you into areas you’re afraid of but will walk you through your fears.


Counterfeit Signs            Deut 13:1-4
Trust only God’s Word and test everything against His Word. Don’t be led astray by others no matter how good or right they may seem

Be aware of where you are. Be led by God’s peace.

Seek wise counsel (advice). Alert others to what you are trying to do so they can advise and help you along the way.

F ight             Heb 4:12

Don’t run from the enemy! Don’t retreat – push forward!

E scape             2 Peter 1:3-4

You can participate in the power of God and escape the evil of the world. He WILL provide a way out!



Direction            Jeremiah 6:16
Pick a direction and take a step! At the crossroads, seek the ancient ways (the ways of the Godly people). Fix your eyes on Jesus and follow Him!

Make sure you are empowered by God, for with Him all things are possible.

Do things now that move you toward the goal.
