When we become Christians we sometimes set rules and guidelines and forget about God’s love. The love we should have for our families. So, are you a Christian or a Christ Follower?


GAL 3:22-25      Prisoners
You know the law does not set you free. It leads you to Christ who is the only one who can set you free.


GAL 5:1      Freedom
(Burdened with guilt) By doing it on your own, the self mentality that doesn’t except help.
Following Rules: Following the laws and inflicting guilt on others for not following all the commandments.
Performance Based: Putting you above others. “I follow most of them so I am better than you”


2 COR 3:7-15      Spirit of Freedom
Burdened by the Commandments and the laws of the church with “thou shalt not, you’re a failure, your stupid, you could never get any better” is of this world not Gods. In Gods eyes you are free, you can do anything, you can change, and you’re accepted for who you are. This is the love of God as he sees you in his glory.


ROM 8:1-2      Set Me Free
There is no condemnation in Christ because the Spirit of the law set you free. Gods Spirit.

God opposes the proud and gives Grace to the humble.

For the love of money is evil rooted.


Joshua 7      Unconfessed Sin
How many of us have lied? Unconfessed sin is a cancer that eats upon us.


MATT 5:23-24      Unforgiveness
This is your chain that is binding you to the past. This is what separates you from God.

2 TIM 3:16-17      Do I Believe It?
Do you believe God’s word? There is no sitting on the fence you either believe or don’t believe. Not just parts of his word but all of it.


ROM 7:7-8, 5:8      My Need for a Savior.
Through choices and challenges we need a savior. The law tells you what sin is so we know. But it is our choice to decide as it was Christ’s choice to die for us.

Are you trying to fit into this world like a square peg in a round hole? How’s that going for ya? God blessed us with gifts to fulfill his purpose. We are God’s children and he loves us for who we are.

Are you thankful for your salvation? Are you willing to share Christ with others? Show others your salvation. Become a Disciple of God through your actions, words, and kindness.

Are you a controller or a controlee?


2 COR 10:1-5      Standard of the World
1. Culture: Everyone is doing it so why can’t I. It’s the way of the world.
2. Tradition: We’ve always done it this way so why change?
3. Logic: Does it make sense logically?
4. Emotion: Are you doing it because it feels good? Like that last big purchase, the last drink.


2 TIM 3:16-17      Word: our standard
1. Teaching: In faith trust God and his scripture. Learn from it and let it be your teacher.
2. Rebuking: Using the word to tell you what is wrong and refusing to do that so that you may do what is right.
3. Correction: Using the word to correct your life and the way you live.
4. Training: Become accountable to and for others so that you may change. You cannot live in sin and the word at the same time.


ROM 12:1-2      Determine Destiny
1. Offering: Whoever controls your thoughts controls your life. Offering yourself to God is your choice and no one can do it for you.
2. Conformed: Conform to the word of God by renewing your mind, changing your ways in this world to the ways of God.
3. Transformed: Renew your mind so you may be able to test and approve Gods will.

Trials are stepping stones to your tombstone. For in your trials your relationship gets stronger with God.


Romans 8:12-14      Put to Death
Put your misdeeds to rest so you may live for God.


Galatians 5:16-18      The Spirit
In order to live abundantly you must live by the Spirit. For the law shows you how you’ve sinned but the Spirit gives you strength not to sin.


Titus 2:11-14      Just Say No
The Grace of God brings salvation to all men and women. It teaches us to say “NO” to worldly sin.


Romans 6:6-14      A Dead Man
God wants to see a dead man. One who is dead to the desires of the world but alive to God. One who is no longer slave to sin.
